Accessibility Statement
The Federal Ministry of the Interior strives to make its websites accessible in accordance with the Web Accessibility Act (WZG) as amended, which implements Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies (OJ L 327, 2.12.2016, p. 1).
This accessibility statement applies to the website AsyluminAustria.at.
Status of compliance with requirements
Due to the following non-conformities and exceptions, this website is partially compliant with Conformity Level AA of the ‘Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1’ and with the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V2.1.2 (2018-08).
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:
a) Disproportionate burden
PDF documents in Arabic, Dari, Farsi and Pashto currently do not fully comply with the PDF/UA standard (ISO 14289-1). The software used to create accessible PDF documents processes right-to-left (RTL) scripts incorrectly. This results in the incorrect rendering of Arabic characters in the exported PDF and, in some cases, causes the export process to fail. The issue has been reported to the software manufacturer.
Our videos are hosted and published on the YouTube video platform. It is not possible to provide the required audio descriptions for some of these videos. Consequently, WCAG Success Criterion 1.2.5 (Recorded Audio Description) is not met. We consider that rectifying this would constitute a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations.
b) The content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legislation
Third-party content, such as studies or presentation materials from external speakers, which is outside the control of the Federal Ministry of the Interior, is exempt from Directive (EU) 2016/2102. No statement can be made regarding the compliance of this third-party content with accessibility regulations.
